-- Steve Albini, from the HAMMER PARTY liner notes.

    3. "Racer X" EP
Homestead Records (recently reissued on vinyl by Touch and Go) (copies MIGHT still be available on MC) HMS007 or TG91

      (OUT OF PRINT)

      Strange Things
      Cables (live)

    7. "Rema Rema" 1-sided 7"
(FE002) insert with an issue of FORCED EXPOSURE, a Waltham MA zine around 1984 (GOOD FUCKING LUCK!!!!) (reportedly HAS been booted tho)

    8. "Heartbeat" 7"
      Touch and Go Records T&G#21
      Track Listing:
      Heartbeat
      Things To Do Today
      I Can't Belive

    9. "Headache" EP

      Track Listing:
      My Disco
      Grinder
      Ready Men
Pete, King of All Detectives (aka "King Dick")

      1. MC includes "Heartbeat" 7"
      2. There is a limited version of this that goes for about $100, in a black polyvinyl "bodybag", foil seal, and an upclose picture of a shotgun suicide victim. Also includes red vinyl copy of "Heartbeat" 7" (Blast First! editions have "Il Duce" instead of "Heartbeat" for some obscure reason)

    10. RICH MAN'S 8-TRACK TAPE CD
Touch and Go Records TG94 (Blast First! UK BFFP23)
Includes F, H, + I (sans "Strange Things" from ATOMIZER. Don't ask me why.)

    11. "He's A Whore/The Model" 7"
Touch and Go Records T&G#23 (Blast First! UK BFFP24)
One Cheap Trick song, one Kraftwerk song, covers are parodies/tributes to the album covers that the songs were originally on.

    12. THE INCREDIBLY CORPORATE WHORISH BIG BLACK INTERVIEW ALBUM LP
Touch and Go Records T&GINT.#1 (1987)
aka TALK ABOUT FUCKING (Blast First! UK)
      Interview album
      T&G edition promo-only
Blast First! editions come with a script with which one can ask the band questions, even though the answers don't match up. ALso the band is in the left channel and the "German Interviewer" is in the right, so with a little tweaking it sounds like the band is interviewing itself.

    13. SONGS ABOUT FUCKING LP/MC/CD
Touch and Go Records T&GLP#24 (1987)
      (UK: Blast First! Records BFFP19)

    14. PIGPILE MC/CD/VHS
Touch and Go Records TG81 (1992)
      Track Listing:

      1. Released posthumously in 1992, from their last tour
      2. Video AND album were recorded in the UK
      3. There was a limited edition of this that included the LP, the video, a poster, a T-Shirt, AND a clear unlabeled 5" record of the boys covering the Mary Jane Girls' "In My House."

[I will put bootlegs into this discog. IF AND ONLY IF I can get GOOD, RELIABLE INFO (such as track listings, cat. numbers, etc.) about them. I do NOT have the time nor the patience to type in half-assed info. Sorry to be a dick about it, but you try doing one of these and see how irritable you get. :)]

    18. (You got it all, Dad! We're gonna hit!) SOUND OF IMPACT
I've decided to give this particular boot. it's own section just because it's so notorious and it's been such a bitch getting info. about it.

      1. NONE of the songs are listed by their actual names. "Firecrackers" is pretty self explanatory, and the rest of the tracks without "real listings" are just Steve yammerin'.

    4. "Inky's Butt Crack/Song Number One" 7"
      Sub Pop Records SP040
A single for the Sub Pop Singles Club. Rare, probably
way too expensive now. Cover is a blow up of a panel
from the RAPEMAN manga, with the Rapeman laying on the
      bed and some kana-script.

    5. Compilation Appearances:

THE WALING ULTIMATE NOTHING SHORT OF TOTAL WAR

    6. Bootlegs
I know there are some out there (not as many as Big Black, albeit.). BUT the same rules from [I., R] apply, cheese.

      SHUT UP 7"
(no info given, but since the etchings say "BLOW-400-A" and "BLOW-400-B", we can make an educated guess that that's the company name and cat. #.. Cover has what looks like the Rapeman dragging a "blond superhero" by the hair...)
      Track Listing:

  4. RELATED PROJECTS

    1. Steve Albini
has been mainly a producer since Rapeman, although as of a month or two ago he has a new band (see SHELLAC). He also plays on the new Pegboy EP ("Fore"). In addition, he has played on the GUITARORRISTS(#) album (which also includes Thurston Moore and J Mascis), and with Cath Carroll on one track of the LAST TEMPTATION OF ELVIS charity CD that the NME put out a few years back. In any event, here's a small sample of bands he's produced/engineered for.

(%) - He also plays on some tracks on the album, namely "Tapeworm," "Point Blank," "The Greenhouse," and "Tailor Made"

    2. Santiago Durango
recorded two EPs under the name Arsenal ("Manipulator" and "Factory Smog is a Sign of Progress"), but has since put himself through law school, successfully, and now is a practicing barrister in Chicago for a firm which represents, of all people, Steve Albini. The song "Little Hitlers" from "Manipulator" is also on the NOTHING SHORT OF TOTAL WAR comp. He is also married to Cath Carroll, and both him and Steve played on her album ENGLAND MADE ME, on the track "Train Your On."

    3. Jeff Pezzati
went on to form another local-Chicago-legend, Naked Raygun, but we'll let them speak for themselves.

    4. Dave Riley
put out a 7" under the name BULL ($), but I heard that he tried (and failed) to kill himself during the past year. He also, apparently, is no longer in Bull.

      Dehaired Pickled and Baited

    5. Roland

EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS TO: Jason Harenski and Charity Stafford for being the first people to send me info. about SOUND OF IMPACT.

Thanks but NO THANKS to: Pasha Naini, who, even though I'm grateful for the BIG BLACK LIVE and DEATH WISH info., bitched at me for not being able to tell him WHERE to get the shit listed on this discog.

EXTRA DOUBLE WHAMMY FUCK-ME-ANYTIME THANKS to: Charity Stafford (again) for sending me a dub and photocopies of the inserts to SOUND OF IMPACT. *mwah!*

Any corrections or additions would be appreciated, and can be sent to: 00GDWESSEL@BSUVC.BSU.EDU

    Thank you. I'm outta here.
